Our Fees:

R300 once off set up fee (Optional)

This includes the creation of your “stall” on the site. We will upload 10 products for you and then provide you with a detailed tutorial on how to load and remove items, change pricing etc. You can do this yourself using our Tutorials.

You will have full control of your “stall” 

R150 per month

This will cover your hosting, SEO and marketing of the website

Other Fees

When a buyer pays you using Payfast there is a 3.5% transaction fee and when we pay you there is a R10 Transaction fee. Read More in the FAQ under Fees

How it Works

After you have signed up we will vet the application and notify you if your application was successful and then send you our invoices. You will then be provided with unique login details to start customising your online stall with us as well as a link to our step by step tutorial pages. Below are some FAQ’s and if you do not find the answer to your question, please feel free to contact us.

Why should I sell my products or services on Virtual Market

Businesses or individuals can sell their products or services online without outlaying any costs involved in creating their own e-commerce website which is quite costly for start-up businesses or individuals who generally want to cut down costs where they can. By registering with us you can have your own store without expensive design fees. Your products and services will also receive more exposure by potential customers.

How will potential customers see all my products or services?

They will see them when they go into the relevant category on our website or directly on your very own store page.

How does Shipping work?

Your Price reflected needs to include your shipping cost to anywhere in South Africa, as we do not bill for shipping seperately.

Can I sell anything on the store?

Yes you can as long as it is legal.

Can I import Products from an Existing Store?

While this can be done, if cannot be done by yourself and you will need to obtain a quote from us to do this for you as it is a complex procedure. Please feel free to get in touch if you need this service and we will quote you accordingly.

What size must my product images be?

In order for the products to display correctly, we recommend 500 x 500 pixels.

Are there any Transaction Fees?
When a buyer pays you using Payfast there is a 3.5% transaction fee and when we pay you there is a R10 Transaction fee. 

If the Buyer pays via EFT there is no fee deducted from you and you can limit your withdrawal fees (The R10 Charge) by only withdrawing your payments Weekly or Monthly. 

When would I receive my money due for purchased products or services?
Once the order is complete you may request a withdrawal, you can view the tutorial on the training page that you will have access to. Funds for the purchase are paid to us and we in turn pay it over to you.
What steps are taken to set up my store?

How does Payment Work?

Clients will checkout using Payfast and the funds will be paid into out Payfast Account, we will then mark the transaction as paid. Once you mark the order as completed and you have shipped it, you may request a withdrawal and we will transfer the funds, less commission to your Payfast Account.

Is there a monthly charge?

Yes, it is R150 per month.

Can I sell a service rather than a product?

No, we prefer you sell products as you would at a conventional market stall.

How many products can I load?

We do not place a limit on the amount of products you may load.

My Product images do not display correctly and are being cut off, why?

In order for the products to display correctly, we recommend 500 x 500 pixels.
